About us

Nano-biomaterials Research group at the University of Central Lancashire founded in 2008 when Dr Sen moved from the University of Kent, Canterbury, UK. The group is dedicated in researching nano and nano-biomaterials and their applications in separation science, nanomedicine, industrial catalysis and bio-sensors.  Currently, the group is running two multinational projects in collaboration with top research groups in nanoscience from academia and industries.  The group has run several multinational projects with top researchers around the world and published more than 75 high-quality peer review journal articles, several patents, book chapters, conference proceedings etc. The group is also active in local outreach programme in collaboration with Young Scientist Centre (YSC) at UCLan and successfully coordinated one International symposium in March 2016 (www.nanosymposiumatuclan.net) and two international workshops (i) August 2016 (https://nanowateratuclan.org/an-international-workshop-on-magnetic-nanoparticles/) and (ii) January 2018 (https://uclannanomedicine.net/news-highlight/).
